Most singles of recent times, and from all age brackets, have probably looked on, or even participated in online dating websites. The internet is good for things like this and it enables lonely hearts to meet no matter where they are in the region, county, or world.

It is a good idea to be wary of these dating service online portals. Not only are there some cranks and teasers joining up, but some of the advice given can complicate what is supposed to be an enjoyable and easy way to meet others looking for love or friendship.

There are a lot of silly tools that people buy into, such as the love calculator test. If you take the advice of their results pages, you’ll probably end up dating and falling out with the most incompatible person ever. The only love meter test you need to heed is that of your own gut. Your heart will soon let you know if someone feels right, not an online form with a ‘Get Results Now’ button at the bottom.

So if you’re recently single, then by all means join one of the many online dating sites, but just like in the real world, follow your heart, and not all the rubbish that calculates who you should contact and weeds out those you shouldn’t/ This is LOVE and love is not a science, it’s a raw gut instinct that is best listened to.
